TikTok Shop has officially canceled the planned restriction that would have limited sellers from using Seller Shipping, just days before the expected February 25 implementation date. The update brings relief to sellers, 3PL providers, and multi-channel service partners who were preparing for a major operational shift.

A few weeks ago, TikTok Shop indicated that it planned to block sellers from using Seller Shipping starting February 25. This would have required sellers to move away from their own logistics setups and rely more heavily on TikTok’s native fulfillment options.
The change would have significantly impacted sellers using third party logistics providers, as well as services like Amazon FBA / MCF and Walmart WFS Multi Channel Fulfillment. Many businesses depend on these systems to manage inventory across channels. A forced shift would have created operational challenges not only for sellers, but also for 3PL companies and service providers such as GeekSeller that support multi channel automation.
With the latest announcement, TikTok confirmed that Seller Shipping remains unchanged and previously shared deadlines will not go into effect. Sellers can continue operating under the current model.
This is a well considered decision. Maintaining flexibility allows sellers to optimize costs, carrier selection, and warehouse strategies while continuing to grow on TikTok Shop.
At the same time, it is clear that TikTok will continue promoting TikTok Shipping and FBT Fulfilled by TikTok. These are strong offerings and likely part of their long term vision for improving logistics performance and customer experience.
For now, flexibility stays in place, but sellers should continue monitoring policy updates closely.
TikTok Shop USPS Restriction Still Applies
One important note remains. The restriction related to USPS is still in effect. Sellers who want to ship using USPS must do so through TikTok Shipping. If you rely on Amazon Multi Channel Fulfillment or Walmart WFS, make sure those services are not fulfilling TikTok orders via USPS. The same applies to 3PL partners. They should use approved carriers or route USPS shipments through TikTok Shipping to remain compliant.
