Amazon has introduced an important update to Amazon Buy Shipping that gives sellers more flexibility when purchasing shipping labels. Sellers who self-ship their orders can now link their own carrier accounts to Amazon Buy Shipping and use their negotiated carrier rates when purchasing labels.
The update currently supports:
- USPS
- UPS Roadie
- UPS Mail Innovations
- OnTrac
- DHL eCommerce
Use Your Own Negotiated Shipping Rates
One of the biggest benefits of this update is that sellers can now take advantage of the rates they have negotiated directly with their carriers while still using Amazon Buy Shipping.
When you purchase a label through Amazon Buy Shipping using a linked carrier account, the label is still charged directly by the carrier. The shipment also counts toward the minimum shipping volume requirements associated with your carrier agreement.
Amazon also allows sellers to link multiple carrier accounts and assign them to different ship-from locations.
Additional Amazon Buy Shipping Protections
Linked carrier accounts also make sellers eligible for certain Amazon Buy Shipping protections, including on-time delivery rate protection and refunds for eligible delivery-related claims.
For sellers shipping a significant volume of orders, these protections can help reduce the impact of delivery-related issues while keeping shipping operations within Amazon’s Buy Shipping workflow.
