Walmart has operated in Mexico since 1991 and has hundreds of stores across the country. Walmart stores offer a variety of products and services, including home delivery and pickup services. Now, Walmart MX is open to 3rd party sellers to join the Walmart Mexico Marketplace.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to have my business registered in Mexico?
You do not need to have a registered business in Mexico to sell on Walmart Mexico Marketplace. Walmart team will walk you through any documentation you may need to provide, and you will receive all the necessary information.
Product translations
When publishing products on Walmart Mexico, sellers need to provide the Spanish version of their content. Google translation can be used to translate content.
Returns
Sellers need to offer a return address in Mexico, where buyers can ship their returns. If sellers do not have such address, Walmart has a partnership with Estafeta.
Shipping Requirements
- Any carrier can be used.
- No requirement to forward deploy or house inventory in MX.
- Items have to be shipped Delivery Duty Paid.
- Proof of Delivery Scan “POD” as a requirement.
Currency
Walmart does not automatically convert USD prices to the local Mexican currency. When listing products on Walmart Mexico, sellers are asked to list their items with prices in the Mexican peso. Sellers will also be paid in Mexican Pesos. However, a seller can choose to convert to USD within Payoneer. Payment will be made via Payoneer to seller’s Payoneer account.

Onboarding Process & Next Steps to Sell on Walmart Mexico Marketplace
