Walmart+ badge for seller-fulfilled items now requires 2-day delivery

Walmart just made another move to push faster shipping across its marketplace.

Back in November 2025, Walmart expanded the Walmart+ badge to seller-fulfilled items. Before that, it was tied to Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS). This shift was very similar to what Amazon did years ago, when Prime started with FBA and later expanded to Seller Fulfilled Prime (SFP).

At that time, one of the key requirements for seller-fulfilled Walmart+ eligibility was the free shipping with delivery in 3 days or less.

As of April 2026, Walmart has tightened that requirement.

Now, to qualify for the Walmart+ badge on seller-fulfilled offers, items must be delivered within 2 days or less. When this condition is met, Walmart automatically applies free shipping and the Walmart+ badge to the listing.

This is a clear signal that Walmart is raising the bar on delivery speed and pushing sellers toward faster fulfillment standards.

What is Walmart+?

Walmart+ is Walmart’s membership program, similar to Amazon Prime. It offers benefits like:

  • Free shipping with no order minimum
  • Fast delivery options
  • Fuel discounts
  • Other member perks

For sellers, the Walmart+ badge is important because it increases visibility and trust. Shoppers are more likely to choose listings that offer fast, free delivery with the Walmart+ badge.
