Non-Amazon branded packaging now available; currently, to selected sellers only

Some of GeekSeller’s sellers received an email from Amazon, about being invited to a program that gives them the capability to have their MCF orders sent in non-Amazon branded packaging. The program is called ‘MCF blank box order fulfillment.’

This was also reported by @MarketplacePuls on Twitter:

It looks like this option is planned to be available to all the sellers pretty soon. In the MFC Seller Center FAQ you can read:

Does my MCF order ship in Amazon packaging?
Currently, most MCF orders will ship in Amazon branded packaging. We are working to bring non-Amazon packaging (“blank boxes”) as an option for all MCF orders. MCF blank box order fulfillment works in three steps with no additional fees.

The original announcement:

Non-Amazon branded packaging now available

We’re excited to announce that Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) is now offering a select group of Sellers, including you, the capability to have their MCF orders sent in non-Amazon branded packaging, a program we are calling “MCF blank box order fulfillment”.

MCF blank box order fulfillment works in three steps with no additional fees.

  1. Inbound shipment creation: Use the Send to Amazon workflow to create an inbound shipment. For blank box inventory replenishment, set ‘Fulfillment capability’ in Step 1 to “Blank box”. For all other inbound shipments, set ‘Fulfillment capability’ to “Standard Fulfillment by Amazon”.
  2. Inventory visibility: To check the amount of inventory available to be fulfilled in a blank box, look up the item(s) within the MCF Order Creation screen in Seller Central. The item’s “Blank Box Quantity” is shown after you add the item to an order. Visibility of blank box inventory through the MCF APIs and Seller Central inventory reporting is coming soon.
  3. Order routing: MCF orders will be prioritized to ship in blank boxes when inventory exists in a blank box fulfillment center. Note that inventory in blank box fulfillment centers can be used to fulfill Amazon.com orders.

We’ve already whitelisted your account to enable this service for you, so visit here to learn how to start shipping your MCF orders in blank boxes today. If you would prefer using Amazon-branded boxes for all your orders, you don’t have to do anything and you can continue shipping MCF orders without interruption.

Please note, this invitation is valid for this MCF account only.

Thank you,
Your Multi-Channel Fulfillment team
