Update on default handling time for Amazon seller-fulfilled orders

Amazon Updates Referral Fee Calculation for Cross-Border Sales
Starting February 1, 2024, Amazon will introduce changes to the referral fee calculation for Marketplace Facilitator transactions. Previously, Amazon calculated the final price by applying the VAT rate of the destination country, resulting in varying referral fee amounts for cross-border shipments. With the new update, the referral fee amount will be consistent, regardless of the destination country. For instance, a listing on Amazon.de with a price of €119 will attract a referral fee of €11.90, irrespective of whether the product is shipped to Germany, Portugal, or Luxembourg, despite the different VAT rates in these countries.

Amazon Launches Small Business Search Filter
Amazon has unveiled its new Small Business Search filter, a feature designed to help customers easily find and purchase products from small-business brands and artisans on the platform. Eligible products will now appear under the ‘Business type’ category in search filter options, provided they meet the criteria for the Small Business badge.

Extended Holiday Returns at Amazon (2023)
Amazon has announced its Extended Holiday Returns policy for 2023, which is one month shorter than the guidelines Walmart released earlier this month. Products purchased between November 1 and December 31, 2023, can be returned until January 31, 2024. For Apple-branded items, the return deadline is January 15, 2024.
