Walmart invites UK retailers to sell on the Walmart US Marketplace

On the 17th of June, in London, Walmart in a partnership with Linnworks and Payoneer organized a Walmart UK Global Seller Summit event, promoting the marketplace to the UK-based companies. More merchants joining means a greater selection and variety of products for American customers, but also more competition for the US sellers.

The US market is very big, so even with all the expenses associated with such expansion, this sounds like a great opportunity for many European companies. Cross-border operations are always challenging, and shipping overseas takes time, so Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) will be a very appealing option to the European sellers.

We are confident that U.K. sellers will be able to leverage Britain’s reputation for design and manufacturing excellence and product quality to thrive as Marketplace sellers and bring more choice to our U.S. customers with speed and scale.
