InkFrog Shutdown: Alternatives for eBay Sellers

It’s always sad to see a long-time company from the eCommerce industry shutting down. Many sellers built entire workflows around these tools, and for small businesses especially, software like InkFrog became part of their daily routine for years.

It was just announced that inkFrog will officially shut down on June 1, 2026. The news surprised many eBay sellers who now have only a short window to export listings and move to alternative platforms.

Still, unlike many shutdown stories in SaaS, this one does come with a relatively positive ending for the founders. inkFrog was acquired by Wix around 2020. While the platform is now being discontinued, the company itself had already achieved what many startups hope for: building a recognizable product, growing a loyal customer base, and successfully exiting through acquisition.

Official annoucment:

Important Update: inkFrog Is Shutting Down on June 1, 2026.

Thank you again for being with us. We wish you continued success.

A bit of inkFrog history

inkFrog has been around since 1999, which in eCommerce software years is practically ancient. The company was founded by Greg Sisung, an eBay seller himself, who originally created tools to simplify listing management for sellers.

Over the years, inkFrog became one of the best-known tools for eBay sellers, especially smaller merchants and power sellers looking for:

  • Bulk listing management
  • Listing templates
  • Inventory synchronization
  • Scheduled listings
  • Multi-account support
  • eBay SEO tools
  • Cross-platform integrations
  • Listing backups

At its peak, the company claimed hundreds of thousands of sellers and billions in GMV processed through the platform.

For many long-time eBay sellers, inkFrog became the replacement for older tools like Turbo Lister after eBay discontinued them.

What sellers liked about inkFrog

Looking through reviews and seller discussions, there were several features users consistently praised:

  • Easy-to-use listing interface
  • Good inventory and listing organization
  • Scheduled listings
  • Listing backups
  • Bulk editing tools
  • eBay catalog auto-fill
  • Support for multiple eBay accounts

Many sellers especially liked how quickly they could create professional-looking eBay listings without manually editing every detail.

What users complained about

At the same time, many users also reported frustrations over the last few years, particularly after the Wix acquisition.

Common complaints included:

  • Slower support responses
  • Fewer feature updates
  • Outdated interface
  • Syncing issues
  • Downtime and listing failures
  • Feeling that development had slowed significantly

Some sellers on Reddit and eBay forums mentioned that support quality noticeably declined after the acquisition.

That said, even frustrated users often admitted they stayed because their workflows were deeply connected to the platform.

InkFrog alternatives

With the shutdown approaching, many sellers are now searching for “InkFrog alternatives.”

Some commonly mentioned optione include CrazyLister, but there are more and each platform focuses on slightly different seller needs.

Some are primarily eBay listing tools, while others are broader multichannel eCommerce platforms.

GeekSeller as an InkFrog alternative

At GeekSeller, we work with multichannel sellers selling on platforms like Walmart Marketplace, Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop, eBay, Wayfair, and others.

Compared to traditional eBay-only tools, GeekSeller focuses more on:

  • Multichannel inventory synchronization
  • Order management
  • Shipping label integrations
  • Walmart WFS and Amazon FBA multichannel fulfillment workflows

For sellers currently using InkFrog mainly for inventory management and multichannel workflows, this could also be a good opportunity to modernize operations rather than simply replacing one eBay listing tool with another.

If you are currently affected by the InkFrog shutdown and looking for alternatives, feel free to schedule a demo or consultation with the GeekSeller team. We can review your current workflow, marketplaces, fulfillment setup, and discuss which features may help replace or improve your existing process.
