TikTok Shop is continuing to invest in Fulfilled by TikTok (FBT), its in-house fulfillment service that handles storage, packing, and shipping for sellers. TikTok positions FBT around four main benefits: more orders, faster delivery, better operations, and lower costs. With Black Friday and Cyber Monday approaching, TikTok has announced several important FBT updates, deadlines, and incentives sellers should know about.
TikTok Says FBT Sellers Are Seeing Faster Growth
In the performance data shared by TikTok in its September FBT update, the company says:
- FBT sellers achieved 2.2x the order growth of non-FBT sellers.
- 86%+ of FBT orders were delivered within three days.
- That three-day delivery rate was 10% to 40% higher than other fulfillment models.
For sellers already generating meaningful TikTok Shop volume, these numbers make FBT increasingly worth considering as part of their fulfillment strategy.
Important BFCM Inventory Deadline: October 15
TikTok recommends completing FBT inbound arrangements by October 15 to make sure inventory is available for Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
TikTok also suggests preparing approximately 12 weeks of inventory, ideally enough to cover expected demand through mid-December.
The replenishment timeline shared by TikTok shows that international ocean shipments should be planned the earliest, followed by international air freight and domestic air or truck shipments. Sellers should leave enough time for transportation, customs clearance, and warehouse receiving.
Expect Warehouse Changes During Peak Season
TikTok is also adjusting FBT warehouse operations during November and December.
| Period | FBT Warehouse Update |
|---|---|
| Nov. 2 to Nov. 26 | FC inbound processing SLA extended to 5 calendar days |
| Nov. 27 to Dec. 6 | FC inbound receiving suspended |
| Dec. 7 to Dec. 10 | FC inbound processing SLA extended to 5 days |
| From Dec. 11 | FC inbound processing returns to normal |
| Nov. 21 to Nov. 29 | Hubs receive small parcels only. Trucking and floor-loading receiving temporarily suspended |
| From Nov. 30 | Hub receiving and inbound processing return to normal |
| Nov. 1 to Dec. 15 | Creation and processing of ToB orders suspended |
| Nov. 1 to Dec. 15 | Product re-measurement requests suspended |
| From Dec. 16 | ToB and re-measurement services resume |
The main takeaway is simple: do not wait until late November to send important inventory to FBT.
New Ocean Floor Loading for Large Shipments
TikTok launched FBT Ocean Floor Loading in the U.S. on August 25, 2026.
Instead of loading inventory onto pallets, sellers can load goods directly into containers. TikTok says this can increase container capacity by 10% to 15%, reduce pallet and per-unit shipping costs, simplify loading, and reduce packaging waste.
The service supports 20, 40, and 45-foot standard containers for both Direct-to-FC and Hub routes.
This could be especially useful for sellers moving large amounts of inventory ahead of BFCM.
TikTok Is Also Helping Sellers Clear Slow Inventory
TikTok announced a limited inventory optimization program for eligible sellers.
Some sellers may receive invitation-only clearance support for products that need to be moved before peak season. TikTok is also waiving the Return Processing Fee and Disposal Fee for eligible slow-moving inventory returned or disposed of during the campaign.
10% FBT Fulfillment Fee Rebate
TikTok is also running an FBT incentive through September 2026.
For an eligible month between April and September, sellers whose successfully delivered FBT shipments exceed their baseline by at least 600 units can receive a 10% rebate on FBT fulfillment fees, capped at $1 per eligible incremental shipment.
Sellers using FBT should check whether they qualify before the program ends.
Texas Hub Placement Fee Promotion
TikTok also has a temporary promotion for its XD05_HOU5 Texas Hub.
IBRs created between July 10 and October 1, 2026 can be exempt from the Hub Placement Fee when the gross weight per unit does not exceed 16 oz, based on the actual warehouse measurement.
What TikTok Sellers Should Do Now
The biggest message from TikTok’s FBT update is to prepare inventory early. October 15 is the key inbound target, and warehouse restrictions begin shortly afterward.
For sellers planning for BFCM, FBT inventory planning is now even more important because TikTok has expanded FBT into Multichannel Fulfillment (FBT MCF). This means inventory stored with FBT can also be used to fulfill orders placed on other sales channels, not only TikTok Shop. As FBT becomes a broader fulfillment network, sellers may want to plan inventory based on total demand across all connected channels, not just expected TikTok sales.
