The holiday shopping season is starting earlier again this year, with Amazon, Walmart, and Target all announcing major October sales events.
For sellers, this means the holiday sales season is effectively starting in early October. Amazon, Walmart, and Target will all be competing for the same shoppers during almost exactly the same period.
Amazon Prime Big Deal Days
Amazon Prime Big Deal Days will take place on October 6 and 7. The 48-hour event will be available to Prime members and include deals across more than 35 categories. Amazon will also release new deals several times throughout each day.
Target Circle Deal Days
Target Circle Deal Days will also run on October 6 and 7. Target Circle members will have access to discounts of up to 40% on categories including clothing, home, beauty, toys, and electronics. Target Circle 360 members will get early access starting October 5.
Walmart Deals & More
Walmart Deals & More will run longer, from October 5 through October 11. Walmart is advertising discounts of up to 50% on home products, 40% on technology, 30% on toys and Halloween products, and more. Unlike Amazon, the deals will not require a Walmart+ membership.
