If you have been selling on Walmart US for some time and are considering expanding your business to Walmart Canada, there might be an effortless way for you to do so. Walmart made it very easy for selected US sellers to join the Walmart Canada marketplace directly from the Walmart Seller Center. The only condition is that sellers must meet the performance standards. The best way to check if you can use this pre-approval method is to log in to the Seller Center, click Settings, and select ‘New Markets’ from a drop-down.
If you see this button on your account, you have been granted an option to join the Walmart Canada marketplace without an extensive application process. You will only need to provide some minimal information and get Canadian Business Number if you do not have one.
After submitting the application, it may take Walmart two or three business days to review it. If your application is approved, you will receive an email with the contract agreement. After you sign it, Walmart will send details about your Canada Seller Center account and onboarding instructions. You can then easily transfer your US products to Walmart Canada and start selling on the new marketplace.
