How Walmart brand owners can access customer demographic data

Walmart provides brand-registered sellers with access to detailed Consumer Insights reports inside Seller Center. This is a useful resource for understanding who is buying your products and how they shop on Walmart.

This includes data such as:

  • Household income
  • Age
  • Gender
  • Marital status
  • Education level
  • GMV breakdown by each group

This information is available in Seller Center under Analytics → Consumer insights. Walmart gives you access to three types of reports:

  • Repeat purchase — which products bring customers back
  • Market basket — what customers buy together with your products
  • Demographic insights — detailed audience data (available once at least 100 customers bought your registered products)

These reports can be downloaded directly from the Consumer insights page. Just choose your date range, use filters, select the items you want, and click Download.

This new feature gives brand owners a clearer picture of who their Walmart audience is. If you are a registered brand owner, it’s worth checking this section regularly to understand your buyers better and make data-driven decisions for product development, ads, and content optimization.
