Amazon has officially released an important update that gives sellers more flexibility when fulfilling Walmart Marketplace orders. Sellers can now use Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) to fulfill Walmart orders using their existing FBA inventory. To support this change, Amazon is waiving the 5% surcharge for using alternative carriers (instead of Amazon Logistics) through January 14, 2026.
This update allows sellers to:
- Stay compliant with Walmart’s fulfillment requirements
- Reduce out-of-stock rates by up to 19% and improve inventory turnover by 12%
- Provide fast and reliable fulfillment — including storage, picking, packing, and shipping — for Walmart customers
How Multichannel Integration Platforms Can Help
Multichannel companies like GeekSeller provide essential tools for sellers operating across marketplaces. These platforms act as an additional logic layer between marketplaces and fulfillment systems. We help by:
- Synchronizing inventory between Amazon and other sales channels in near real time.
- Adding control logic to determine which orders should be fulfilled via MCF (since not all may qualify or be desirable).
- Automating order routing based on seller-defined rules like product type, shipping preferences, or warehouse availability.
